The Old Post Office Apartment , as the name suggests, once served as part of the village Post Office Building in Dunblane and dates back to the 1900s.

Set within the historic Ramoyle area of Dunblane, which was home in the early 19th century to artisans especially weavers, many of the quaint houses still betray their origins.

The property has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and this unique,bijoux ,1 bedroom twin bedded apartment has everything required for a comfortable self-catering holiday.

The fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob,to name but a few items, is adjacent to the lounge which has a log burner, dining area for 2 people and 2 comfortable sofas. The Apartment is set in a leafy conservation area and wildlife can often be viewed from the lounge window. There are frequent visits from pheasants, squirrels and sometimes even a deer!

The apartment is within walking distance of the historic Cathedral, cafes, bars and shops of the Old Town of Dunblane. It is also easy to travel further afield with the train station only being a short 10 min walk from the property.

The Old Post Office Apartment is in an ideal location to explore the local area, one which combines both outstanding natural beauty with a unique local history. Within a short driving distance you will also be able to sample Scotland’s magnificent Highland scenery and hospitality before returning home to the comfort of your accommodation.

Dunblane, Stirling and the surrounding area are steeped in history. The historic Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 and Battle of Sherriffmuir in 1715 all helped to shape the history of Scotland and these sites can easily be visited from our properties. Allow yourself to become absorbed by the atmosphere, whilst visiting the magnificent Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and The Battle of Bannockburn Experience, and then recharge your batteries in one of the many cafés, restaurants or pubs.

The surrounding countryside is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with walking, cycling and paragliding all on offer on the nearby Ochil Hills. Slightly further away are The Trossachs, Callander, Loch Lomond National Park, Glasgow and Edinburgh providing, therefore, the ideal central touring base for your holiday. Located within an hour’s drive of Glasgow and Edinburgh International airports, Dunblane has excellent motorway connections to the north and south.

Dunblane New Golf Club is a only a 10 min walk from the apartment and at least another five within 30 minutes drive. Nearby is the world famous Gleneagles and slightly further afield is St Andrew’s Old Course.
